Brighter Futures Together: Helping you take simple actions for your community

Brighter Futures Together: Helping you take simple actions for your community

Tuesday 20 March. 9.00am – 2.00pm
The Great Hall, Sutherland Building, Northumbria University

This half-day event will officially launch the Brighter Futures Together toolkit, a unique and groundbreaking initiative developed in the North East of England.

The launch event will provide you with the opportunity to

  •  Find out more about the Brighter Futures Together toolkit, and celebrate the launch of a brand new toolkit for the North East.
  • Explore how the Brighter Futures Together toolkit can help you to take action in your own local area, or work with individuals and community groups to help them to take action to improve neighbourhoods and communities.

The event offers a further opportunity to debate the role of community and community groups in responding to the sustainability challenge, and most importantly discuss what is needed to achieve success.

Event speakers include Stephen Hughes MEP, Trewin Restorick CEO of Global Action Plan, and representatives from the Sustainable Communities North East Initiative and the Sustainable Cities Research Institute at Northumbria University.

A marketplace of exhibition stalls from a wide range of organisations will be accessible to attendees during the lunch and networking session.
