Embedding Sustainable Development in North East England
Sustaine’s work on sustainable development in North East England is a key priority and our work will continue with individuals, communities, organisations and businesses to embed the principles of sustainable development and adopt a commitment to developing a better quality of life for our future generations.
As the independent champion body for sustainable development, we coordinate a number of initiatives across North East England. Our work is delivered through four high level objectives:
- Informing and influencing key strategies and their integration
- Providing high-level advocacy and support for sustainable development
- Increasing the awareness and understanding of the holistic nature of sustainable development
- Acting as a partnership platform to support and enable action
